Speaker Cleaner
Remove water and dust from your speakers, test their sound, and fine-tune frequencies.
How do I clean my speaker?
Turn your volume all the way up, hold your phone speaker-down, open the Cleaner tab and tap “Press to clean”. Pick a duration (30, 45 or 60 seconds) — the app plays a sequence of sound patterns designed to shake water and dust loose, and shows a cleaning summary when it finishes.
How does the Speaker Test work?
The Test tab plays a short tone through your earpiece, then through your main speaker, so you can listen for clear, even sound from each. You can also record a short clip with the microphone and play it straight back to check that it's picking up your voice properly.
What is the Tone Generator for?
It plays a single steady tone at whatever frequency you choose, from 20 Hz up to 20 kHz — drag the slider or tap a preset. Useful for testing specific frequency ranges, or just for satisfying curiosity about what your speaker can actually reproduce.
The sound is still muffled after one cleaning cycle
Run the cycle again with the phone held speaker-down. Small amounts of trapped water can take more than one cycle to fully clear — there's no harm in repeating it a few times.
My phone was fully submerged in water
Turn it off and let it dry completely before charging — don't plug it in while there's still moisture inside. Speaker Cleaner is designed to help push water out of the speaker openings specifically; it does not repair internal water damage, and a fully submerged device may need professional inspection regardless of what the cleaning cycle does.
I don't hear anything during the cleaning cycle
Double-check your ringer/volume is turned all the way up and your phone isn't in silent/mute mode — the app relies on your device's actual speaker volume to do anything useful. If sound plays in other apps but not here, try leaving and reopening the app once.
The microphone recording isn't working in the Test tab
iOS will ask for microphone permission the first time you try to record. If you denied it by mistake, go to Settings → Speaker Cleaner and turn Microphone access back on, then try again from the Test tab.
Why does the app ask for microphone access?
Only for the microphone check in the Test tab, where you record your voice and play it back on the same device. That recording is never uploaded anywhere — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Speaker Cleaner has no sign-up and no account of any kind — you can use every feature immediately after installing it.
Does the app show ads or track me?
No. There are no ads and no tracking of your activity, in this app or across other apps and websites.
